Site Layout wrong after upgrade

Hello,
I finally bit the bullet and updated my site from version 1.0 to the present version of Version 1.1.0.5 - 0.057s
well, since then my site layout isnt right, the bottom footer of the page isnt there and its placed itself on the right hand column at the bottom set like this

Contact us| LegalConditions| sitemap|
Forum| Powered by PrestaShop™


instead of at the very bottom of the site like this

dos anyone know how i can fix it again please?

also a few of the modules do not work either although i have uninstalled and re-installed them and they say they have installed fine
the star ratings module doesnt show up at all and the customer comments module althout the tab is there when u click it, it goes back to my index page

any help would be gratefully recieved
