Errors when upgrade from 1.4.8 to 1.5.3

Hi,

 

Try ugrade to 1.4.8 to 1.5.3 and got error when try to start the install.

Error message.

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/imcounts/public_html/config/defines_uri.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/user/public_html/install/init.php on line 51

 

 

Any one have any ideas?

it is saying it cannot locate or open the file named "defines_uri.inc.php". The file should be located in the config folder. Check to see if the file exists and the permissions are valid.

I checked the file is in the config folder and the pemission is 644 like others.

have you tried changing it to 777 or 775 as per the installation instructions?

I am running my upgrade and I found exactly the same problem. I have checked my permissions for the folder AND the files and loosened them up to be completely open just for testing scenarios. Still getting these errors.

i think you should enter url as below:

 

www.mydomain.com/install/upgrade/upgrade.php

 

instead of

 

www.mydomain.com/install
