Best way to add video to category & product pages?

I would like to a add short video to the top of the category page in the area currently for the graphic and category description. Is there a simple way to go about doing this? Is it possible to...

 

1) add a module to select category pages to embed different videos for each category?

OR

2) upload an image (like normal) but include a link with it to open or pop up a video player?

OR

3) add a text link or linked graphic to the category description that will open the video player?

OR

4) do any of the above (embed a video player or link to video player) on the product page?

 

Ideally I would like to be able to manage this from the back office.

Hi,

The best way is to use a module. If you want to go for a paid solution, i have a module to add videos in category pages 8as many as you want, category-aware of course).

You can find the link to my modules shop in my signature.

Otherwise, you can creat one by yourself if you know how.

I wouldn't go for the other solutions, since #2 can't be done, and #3 won't e accepted by short description escaping, when adding the entry to the database
