Randomized
I installed version 1.5.2.0 and I got a (really big) problem with clients unable to log in in the FO. I did an upgrade to version 1.5.3.0 because I read somewhere that the last version could correct this problem. Well, I don´t know if it can correct it or not because it created so many additional problems that I did not even try to check that (I did a manual upgrade, obviously auto upgrade does not function). In any case I am giving up with version 1.5.whatever. My question is: I am not familiar with version 1.4.9.0, the last release before 1.5. Can somebody tell me if it is really stable? Because if it is not, I am going to give up on Prestashop for good. I need a reliable platform to create my shop. I have already lost a couple weeks trying to make the software behave like it is supposed to do. By the way, I use a dedicated server and can change anything and I am quite familiar with linux, php, mysql and so on, and the upgrade script said the upgrade was ok. El Patron
1.4.9 is a good release...we tried today 1.5.3 but cant log into front office...I could not get 1.5.2 to work at all...and I'm half genius...I am not going to fight simple things that should work...like logging in...that should just work out of the box so I will reload with 1.4.9 and use my own multishop module... what a drag...maybe 1.5.4..jajajaja Edited December 30, 2012 by elpatron (see edit history)
clayton29657
I can confirm just from my own shop 1.4.9 is the most stable release for Prestashop. I am not even going to attempt to load 1.5 till I see this mess that they have created fixed. lol I will leave this for 3rd party developers seeing that is what it feels like... El Patron
ok, I fixed our 1.5.3 problem...so I am going to stick it out...unless some other snafu happens.. when you look at the amount of change 'work' in 1.5...you can only be impressed with platform...
