Change Domain Name

Hi!

 

I installed presashop using Simple Scripts by Bluehost.. i used a temporary address (http://69.195.124.65/~bebeshop/prueba/) and started to make my store.

Now I want to move it to my domain name www.bebeshop.mx,

 

Any idea how to do that?

Hi,

First of all, you have to copy over all of the files, then backup and import the database in the new domain. After that, go to config/settings.inc.php and change database credentials/url and eventually folder names according to the new domain.

For the first thing, I believe the hoting can do it by itslf if you ask the support center

it all depends on prestashop version that you use.

so it's not as simple as it seems, you must edit some database settings. Do you've got access to your database via manager like phpmyadmin?
