ken_morrow
I am working with a preformatted template them and would like to modify the layout/content. Need to perform simple changes like store logo, photo's, button labels, etc. Can I use a feeware program like Gimpshop as opposed to purchasing Photoshop to accomplish these changes/edits? NemoPS
Well, yes, why not? I think you can use any program you want to edit images
bellini13
An application like Photoshop would be 'necessary' if you have a PSD created and want to slice out areas to create the theme. If you are just looking to create images, any graphic application can be used
vekia
you can edit template files (jpg etc.) anywhere you want, moreover - if you want to open PSD file in gimp you must install ghostscript, more informations you can get here: http://registry.gimp.org/node/2011
