Icarus
Ok,I am officially frustrated.I have no idea what is causing this, but I have reached a stage in my shop where it just halts FireFox 3.0.11 whenever I load any front office page.I have cleared my cache, my cookies and everything.I have rebuilt my database from import, and nothing.I think it has something to do with the Categories block. When the page load, the category block is never reaching a stage where it is displayed. When I reduce my number of products or categories, it loads fine.In IE it loads ok.Anyone else experienced something like this?EDIT:I have suspected the new FF, so I downgraded to 3.0.8 and the site loads fine...I am going to post in the FF forum - they seem to be on a long streak of bad releases.EDIT2:Here is the firefox post:https://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=1&comments_parentId=371338#threadId371420
kelly1210
Same thing happens to me! Glad I saw your post. I'm about to downgrade Firefox. Thanks for reporting it to Mozilla.

Ion_Cannon
Updated the post, now with the link to FF report. Roll back to 3.0.10 -- unless someone has a fix for 3.0.11?? My shop doesn't work properly either. There are numerous reports about 3.0.11 crashing on sites. No problems with any other browsers so there is definitely an issue. I expect to see another update soon for FireFox to fix this.It can't be just related to Presta and if it is then there must be a security problem with Prestashop somewhere that needs to be addressed?? Icarus
Stay as far away as you can from FF 3.0.9 and 3.0.10 - they are leaking and slow.3.0.8 is ok.
93interactive
Hello,i have a major problem with prestashop 1.1.0.5when a user is logged in with windows firefox (3.0.11) and clicks on logout, firefox jumps back to the login page, status pages says 'transfering from hostname...' and it eats away 100% cpu, as if there would be a infinite loop in javascript or something similar.you then can only kill firefoxtried with opera 10 beta: no problem

Patric
Topic merged. This is a known problem with FF 3.0.11.Strangely, it happens only on few sytems. We can't actually do anything for that.Lot of people on the web seem to suffer crashes with FF 3.0.11.I hope it will be fixed in 3.0.12. Till then, you may go back to 3.0.10. This is what I did. Icarus
So I guess this is now behind us.Firefox 3.5 finally looks like a stable and lightning fast release.Been using it for the past 24 hours, so far very happy and Presta no longer suffers on it. nate22
Dang, Prestashop keeps crashing my Firefox. Page loads ALMOST all the way, pauses, and then crashes. It doesn't crash my coworker's Firefox, though, which is the same release (3.5.3). I am guessing it might have something to do with Firebug or some residual extension crap in my Firefox, even though I disabled everything and emptied the cache. My coworker never installed any add-ons to Firefox, that is why I suspect this is the issue.Yesterday, I switched the theme back and forth and it fixed the problem. Today, that little trick is not working. I cleared the cache, switched the themes and disabled all my add-ons for Firefox. Still crashing. I'm using the latest version of Firefox and Prestashop. I don't expect a solution, just putting it out there so it's documented somewhere.
nate22
I was loving Prestashop, but I downgraded to Firefox 3.0.8 and still crashed. I'm using Magento now as it is impossible to design anything on remote servers without Firebug. God, what a nightmare that would be.
