my-name
I have set up a shop without code modifications and with the standard theme. When I place an order and it asks me to select a courier Prestashop gives me the options but has an extra entry box that says: Afin d'ameliorer les conditions de livraison, veuillez renseigner votre numero de mobile Numero de telephone mobile: Asking for a phone number. This even though my default language is English and even though the address registered already has a phone number. I've looked everywhere in the backoffice I can think of to fix this. Please can someone help on this.
El Patron
when you say you looked everywhere...did that include back office translations for installed modules?.. back office-->localization-->translations installed modules i.e. did you look there or other places in translations? my-name
Sorry, slight newbie. I assumed because this was the 1.5 section it was obvious but I guess its not specific. I am using 1.5.2 I looked in translations but everything is set to English. Any help would be appreciated. Am I supposed to edit a file? mohsart
This sounds awfully familiar... I had a problem where a customer got Spanish explanations from the Moneybookers module, or rather from Moneybookers themselves. I cannot recall exactly where the problem was, but I think it had to do with a mixup of ISO codes for languages/countries. I could be mistaken, but I've had a couple of problems with Sweden getting ISO code sv, which is the ISO code for Swedish, not Sweden. Or was it the other way around... /Mats

El Patron
also did you install a shipping module?
my-name
Thanks, that last hint helped. When I first started I installed the TNT shipping module because I wanted to use TNT, but I found out the module only works with the French TNT site and the Front End is only in French as far as I could tell. It appears that having that module installed adds the french request for a phone number on all other shipping carriers/modules even when not using TNT. I uninstalled it and the question is no longer there. Out of interest if I did want to do a text search in my files on the server without having to download all the files to my local PC is there a good way to do that? I have access to my server's cpanel.
