Prestashop doesn't compile

Hello,

 

I have a problem with compile function. I changed footer.tpl in my template, but don't see any changes. I now, that have to delete all files from tools/smarty/compile, but there are no files. It's always empty. It doesn't metter if I check in back office to force compile or not. It doesn't work.

 

I didn't install the shop, this was made by someone else and I'm not sure if there is everything all right.

Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Have you checked the site using another web browser?

what version of ps? that is always helpful info.

back office-->preferences-->performance

 

force smarty compile to yes...make sure set back to no when done testing.

Have you checked the permissions for that directory? You need to have write permission enabled.

Site - yes, I checked. There are no changes.

elpatron - PS 1.4.4.1 I've done this at the begining. Nothing changed.

Bill Dalton - yes, I have 777 for smarty/compile and smarty/cache

 

I suppose, that this may also be some server problem, because today there was some files from yesterday evening, I deleted them, visited my shop url and checked if there are files again, but no... empty. This is a problem for me, because I wanted to make some changes in my theme files, but can't see any changes in front office. What can I do to make them visible? For example in footer.tpl or header.tpl.

 

I have also the same PS on different server and everything is ok, there are no problems with files.

Hi,

So one server shows the modified files, and the other server doesnt update and wont show the modified files?
