Cost to Upgrade to New Prestashop

Recommended Posts

You would look in the back office of your shop. What version are they upgrading your shop to and why are you upgrading it? What version is your shop currently running? You should be able to find what version you are running on the footer of your page in the back office.

You are basically asking if $20,000 sound right for a car, without saying what type of car you are buying.

What custom modules are being used, do they need to be upgraded? What theme do you intend to use? Are you planning to upgrade to v1.4.9, or v1.5.2? How large are the stores (number of products, customers and existing orders). What languages and currencies do you require? What are the shipping options? What payment methods do you support.

All of these need to be considered and all effect the effort and complexity. Has the developer asked you some/all of these questions already?

It's not a bad deal I would charge more then that for 2 sites.

But it still depends are what you are upgrading from, theme, modules and so on.

You should also consider the look of your site, if your using a custom theme there is a good chance that it will not work with the latest version of Prestashop, same for third party or custom modules.

Make sure that whatever you do create a backup of the site in case things go wrong and always hire someone whith great knowledge of Prestashop not just a web developer. (You get what you pay for)
