zenrider420
During development of a Prestashop installation we are running into an error when entering products. When we use an apostrophe in the name of a product, we are getting errors when trying to save it and it adds a forward slash before the apostrophe which then displays on the front end of the site. This is unacceptable for our final release of the site. Is there a fix or work-around for this anyone knows about? Thanks in advanced!
Groove
Maybe use ' and not "
zenrider420
Thanks for the reply Groove. We are using the ' (apostrophe) and not " (quotes). Anyone else have any ideas? This is killing some of my product names.
Muad'Dib
Hello, We are using the ' (apostrophe) and not " (quotes). Anyone else have any ideas? This is killing some of my product names. Those chars usually are forbidden by nature simply because they generate end of variables definitions and mess with everything as those delimiters are needed when coding. The way around this which works with almost every chars is to use the HTML tag for it ' . You could also use a slightly different char which is ' ` '. That one is not used in .php coding and offers an easier way around if you are using a standard qwerty US keyboard (top left key). Hope this helps. Cheers.
