i.falco
Hi everyone, I have installed the SSL certificate properly and it does work when typing https://www.website.com However, when clicking on a link within the website, or simply not typing https://, the website goes directly to the normal www.website.com I was informed by the web hosting company that I needed to Force SSL into all the pages within the website. Can you please help? Under Preferences > General, I have selected the "Enable SSL" button; however, this has not made a difference. Can you please instruct me on how to force my SSL so every time a user goes to the site, they navigate through https:// ? Thank you!
Dh42
Generally Prestashop only uses ssl for pages that need ssl. Like go to the contact form or the checkout page, they should be in https. You can force ssl on the whole site, but it will make it slower.
i.falco
Hi, Thanks for the answer. In our case, this is not even working. I completed a sign-in, purchasing, and checkout process and at no point the https:// came active. Any additional help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! i.falco
I'd love to, since I believe you have the knowledge to solve this issue. However, I cannot do that since there is a lot of sensitive information within the back office. Any other solutions are highly appreciated. Dh42
Well, theo nly thing I can tell you is to log into your cpanel and click the phpmyadmin link. Then click thru to the database that you are using, go to the ps_configuration table and make sure that for PS_SSL_ENABLED that the value is 1. In the image my value is shown to 0 because I haven't enabled ssl. http://screencast.com/t/ljiAfKvnmz
