dsimms
I have barely even began working on my eCommerce site, then all of a sudden I was not able to access my eCommerce site, but all of my host sites were not available for access, so my sites become unresponsive....my host says my sites are working fine, but I can not access any of my sites since 11pm last night, and I do not have any issues surfing anywhere else, and I do not have a great deal of stuff on other sites, and my cart was in offline mode. my host also says that I am using the upper limit of my resources, which does not sound good so early in the game..... does presta take up that much resources? benjamin utterback
Hello dsimms, no PrestaShop does not take up that much memory or space for a server. Nearly all sites can run just fine on a shared server. Who is your hosting Provider?
dsimms
Busy Bee Hosting I have to assume it was cart related as I just recently got the host, and til this point, I do not really dont have anything else other then else, nothing that surely would have brought down my hosting on other hosts, and my most recent work was last night on the cart...but I am not too sure until my host gets back to me, so I am not sure why i can not access my sites, but i can access every other site in the world.... I know I have a low end host, but I did not think it was that low that it could not handle one shopping cart.... Its bad enough that I am having a hard time learning this cart, now I have to deal with this, no matter what the issue is... I guess I should have just stayed with my VPS... This proves one thing... do not go with low end hosting... Its simply just not reliable.... Hello dsimms, no PrestaShop does not take up that much memory or space for a server. benjamin utterback
You should look into A2 hosting and BlueHost, they have comparable rates with, apparently, much better performance. They also have one click install options.
dsimms
It looks like that I have been banned by the server of the host... not sure, my ip changed about 3 times yesterday, so I am not sure how this is going to work out if my IP keeps changing... so this is two issues: 1: my server has banned my IP. 2: I am already using upper end of my resources.... benjamin utterback
What happened for you to be banned? That seems strange. Maybe you should look into switching hosting providers.
dsimms
yes, back to my vps, they are not cheap, but they are pretty damn reliable... It was not a personal ban..the server is not human, maybe it saw something that a human did not see, then the server banned my IP...I am not sure the server saw for it to think it had to ban my IP...at the time the site went down, I was just doing some changes inside the cart.... I am glad that I have not cancelled my VPS because they gave me a discount $20/mo discount when i signed up, and If i had cancelled, then I would have lost the discount.... What happened for you to be banned? That seems strange. Maybe you should look into switching hosting providers.
