tomerg3
You have 925 posts and you still don't know to mention your PS version?? It would be in the Prestashop translation engine (which is found in different places in different versions). It would be under module translations, look for "bankwire" and enter the new text. benjamin utterback
Thanks Tomer for the solution. The Translations tool is a great tool to change any of the Front or Back Office Translations, including the Installed Modules (like BankWire) Marked as Solved. Thanks! tshirley
How do I do this in V1.5.4.0 of Prestashop? There is no Tools menu that I can see, and all the Translation options want to change is languages.

tshirley
Thank you. But this takes me only to a page where I can change the language. I want to change from "Bank Wire" to "Bank Transfer"

benjamin utterback
Hi tshirley, if you are using 1.5.4, you may want to read this thread.
tshirley
it listed only some modules beginning "block...." and the last one is "homefeatured". there are no others. If I go to the list of modules i see bankwire is an installed module, and so are many others that don't appear in the translation list
tshirley
Thanks Benjamin, but still no luck. I tried uninstall/reinstall, and tried changing the permissions to 0777 but it is the same. I also saw that the other modules are set to 0755 and sone display in the list and some don't.
tshirley
OK, I have tracked this problem down but I don't know how to fix it. When I go to the Translation and select Installed Modules, I also have to select the theme - and in my case the only theme option is "Default". As a result the only modules that display are those with a theme of Default, and I guess that BankWire has some other theme. So, how do I find out which theme BankWire has, and how do I add that theme to the dropdown list in Translation? Alternatively, how do I change the theme of BankWire to "Default" Or...is there a module that will do what in Australia we refer to as "Bank Transfer" which is where the client does an online transfer of funds to the Merchant's bank account before the goods are despatched? Cheers Tim
wilsonj
I've also wanted to change "bank wire" to "bank transfer" and have done so like the above suggestion, but I keep finding in emails, order confirmation, payment confirmation etc it still reads "wire". I've gone through and changed as many as I can, but maybe a suggestion for you Dev gurus, how about a module to change all this automatically ? tomerg3
I would start a new topic, rather than tag along to an existing one. Either way, provide info about your Prestashop...
