quardas
Hello there, I have a problem with my shop, Presta engine - 1.4.4.1 I want to sell things to many countries, for example USA, Germany and Poland. The main target are United States, where I sell without any taxes. So I choose "No Taxes" as the default on all my products. And now (drumroll) here's the problem: I set correctly Taxes, Tax Rules (for USa No Taxes, for Poland 23%) and... nothing happens. No matter if I change my adress to USA or Poland, the price is the same and there is "taxes: 0" information. I also set Shipping Zones and Weight Ranges correctly, I don't think that there is a problem. Please, anybody help. Best Regards, Marcin Piskorz
Muad'Dib
Hello, I understand you reasoning in this, since you main market is without VAT because of export, you decided to set the shop to No Taxes. However I am afraid it is not the way prestashop is supposed to work In order to make this work you need to set your shop to be with taxes by default. Then set all your products to have the 23% tax as default tax rule. (I think you may also be able to set them to use the 0% rule that you are going to create if you want the displayed price to be without VAT by default) Then the USA needs to be set with a tax rule of 0% and Poland to be set as 23%. This means anyone from the USA will have a 0% tax applied and people from Poland a 23% tax. Hope this helps. Cheers. El Patron
PS rocks at defining country level product catalogs. But what about non-logged visitors? They see your shops default prices/discounts/shipping/taxes/currency. We fixed that.... here is the pro module: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/193843-module-prestashop-geo-pricing-geo-target-prices-by-country/ here is a free module to simulate different countries from your own browser. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/210049-free-module-prestashop-localization-ip-simulator-14-15/page__pid__1035910#entry1035910 happy geo targeting
