edwiny
Hello Everyone. I am getting persistent Google Crawl Error of pages that I believe I have since removed. Initially, the prestashop was setup with 3 languages. English, Spanish, and French. so each product would display in 3 different addresses: www.mydomain.com/en/product1.html (English) www.mydomain.com/es/product1.html (Spanish) www.mydomain.com/fr/product1.html (French) After realizing this, removed the languages of Spanish and French as my target audience is in the US. However, before realizing the problem, I submitted a sitemap.xml file to google that contains these links. Since then, I have removed the spanish and french tranlsations so now, my product 1 displays as follows: www.mydomain.com/product1.html and not: www.mydomain.com/en/product1.html Google, continues to search for www.mydomain.com/en/product1.html (English) www.mydomain.com/es/product1.html (Spanish) www.mydomain.com/fr/product1.html (French) which of course are no longer there. I continue to send updated sitemap.xml to google, but I am still getting the crawl errors even over the past day. I dont' have the cache turned on. I am using friendly URL and running Prestashop 1.4.7.3 Hope someone can guide me.
Radu
In time the situation will get resolved but ideally you should 301 redirect the www.mydomain.com/en/product1.html to www.mydomain.com/product1.html
Dan1
I have the same problem as the op. Google is trying to crawl the old language links which no longer exist www.myshop.com/es/... in my case spanish. It's been a year since I disabled the language, and there's no language block in my shop. Any suggestions? PS 1.4.9.
