jmthd
I'm using v. 1.4.9 and having trouble figuring out how to simply charge tax based on the customer's delivery address. I have set the option at Payment>Taxes to 'Based on Delivery Address'. However, why is there also an option to pick a Tax Rule in each product's setup? The rate chosen per product seems to be overriding the Delivery Address rate. Hoping someone can shed some light on this. Thanks! tdr170
In order to charge tax based on customers address/zip you will need to enter all the Counties in your State under taxes entries will look like this Aluchua 1% Broward .5% and so on. Then under Shipping, Counties you will again add all Counties in your state along with their zip codes. Finally under Tax rules you will go to your State and edit each county using the drop down list to apply both taxes. When finished your taxes should be applied to your cart for anyone living in your state as State Tax % + Surtax %. You do not charge tax for items shipped to another state. Watch these videos you should get it. http://www.prestatra...restashop-v1-4/ Edited December 13, 2012 by tdr170 (see edit history)
