Dasher3000
Customer placed an order and supposedly put in their address. When it is saved to the database, the DELIVERY address is: STEVE JOBS 1 Infinite Loop Cupertino 95014 USA California (800) 275-2273 The SHIPPING Address is empty. I have not been able to recreate this issue. Anyone else have this weird occurence? Any idea what might cause it? Maybe they were using a Mac? :-) Thanks, Dasher Edited December 7, 2012 by Dasher3000 (see edit history)
Dasher3000
UPDATE: Record #1 in the ADDRESS table is for STEVE JOBS ...etc... as one of the MANAUFACTURERS from the sample data. I am using ONE PAGE CHECKOUT This has only happened 2x in 2 years, but my customer is very concerned. Thanks, if anyone has any ideas what might be triggering that address to be used when INSERTING the Order info into their fields. Thanks!!! - Dasher
bluebottle
This has happened to me twice this month. The first time my customer noticed and sent me a screenshot, and obviously didn't complete the purchase. Her name and address had been changed on the checkout page to Tim Cook, 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, California. Then a couple of weeks later it happened again, to a different customer. But this time the customer's name was correct, and the address was changed to the Infinite Loop address. I didn't put this together with the previous instance, and unfortunately the customer didn't notice the problem either - so I sent the purchase off to Apple Headquarters (don't expect I'll ever get that back). I was certain this was a paypal problem, so after 4 days trying to resolve it with them, I have now spoken to somebody at Paypal Merchant Tech Support who assures me it is Prestashop that there is an "Address Overwrite" and Prestashop are providing this (Apple) address to Paypal. He has sent me instructions on how to clear the Prestashop cache but can anybody help further please?
