sshare
Hi Everyone, I'd like to implement an idea I've had on a shop, basically the product that the people are buying the right to read/print are located outside my prestashop store to avoid it being a downloadable PDF. So here's my question, is it possible to turn the download link into a redirect link, meaning when the client clicks the link that is sent to them for their product download it actually sends them to the URL where they can read the magazine? Is this possible, any solutions that offer a similar outcome? Any help is highly appreciated. (The shop will most likely be running on Prestashop 1.5, but at worst we can use the last version of 1.4 if need be to make the whole idea work.) benjamin utterback
Hello sshare, the download link is by default a download to a file that you have uploaded. You would have to send some sort of E-mail to send out a redirect link, if you do not want the customer to download the product from your store. sshare
Thanks for the reply Benjamin, I'm not experienced with scripts, but would it be possible to have the user download a script instead of a PDF for example and that this document would in fact be a script that redirects the user? Sounds feasible in my head but then I have no idea on that type of stuff.
