Sales tax doesn't show up

I can not figure out how to make sales tax show up in the shopping cart summary. I'm using version 1.5.2.0 and I'm not sure if there is a problem with it or if it's just me. I think I have it configured correctly but maybe not. Can someone walk me through the process or point me at a tutorial?

What State are you in did you set your products to apply State tax to the products when you entered them.

Have you checked to make sure that under Tax rules your State is enabled.

Did you check that under Taxes your State is enabled.

Do you have display tax in cart at the bottom of Taxes enabled.

I'm in California, I set the products to apply tax, my state is enabled, the rules are enabled and display in cart is enabled. I don't don't whats wrong. I did watch a video that showed an ammount on the product price page under the tax rate where Final retail price should be displayed, mine are all blank. Any ideas?

Well for anyone who might read this it turned out to be the theme on this site switching to the default theme sorted it out.

Hi, This is an old thread, but I am having the same problem with 1.5.4.

 

I can get the cart to calculate tax for all countries, but not specifically US and my state. The product page price tab is also not showing the "Final retail price:"

 

I have changed themes from prestashop to default with no effect. I've tried a specific zip code, not a range.

 

Any ideas?
