Hoodgrown
But that's really the WHOLE purpose of requiring one to enter a coupon code upon order. The discount is an incentive to get a customer to your store and order... most stores know that not every customer is going to remember to utilize this code. Once the order is placed.. it's placed. That's it.It's the same with the mail in rebates. They could give it to you instantly but stores know that not everyone is going to send in their rebates. So while it's an incentive to make a purchase, only a few are going to actually take the time to mail it in and redeem it.
HeleneB
THere is a process design probelm here.Mainly if you just click on the checkout button from the main page and do not go back to the cart, then you have no possibility to see the voucher code space.and do you loose a client because he thaught that he could enter the voucher code at a later stage and it is too late the transaction is done - then the client will be frustrated.we want happy customer too. arowana
Agree with HeleneB, once they push the "check out" bottom they ususally will forget to place the code. I encounter a very frustrated customer who tried using the system to purchase an item last night, she spend 1 hour trying to figure out where to put the voucher code and how to use checkout. Even with live help, she couldn't figure out and complain that the entire checkout process is slow and user unfriendly. In the end, she gave up and I lost a business Also, to make a customer happy, after they placed an order and within 1 min they emailed us, asking to help them enter the discount code and refund the $, I do think that we should refund them isn't it ?
