How can I restore my website please

Hi all,

 

I have multiple errors with my website and stupidly clicked the 'roll back' which has restored my website to the previous version.

 

Luckily I had downloaded the restore function so I'm wondering how do I go about restoring it with this download.

So pity.. I would suggest that if you have backed up your files (like products and so on) make a fresh install.. Restore according to my oppinions is not the 100% solution.. Just the emergency one!!!

I've got multiples of the database backup in my prestashop back office from a few hours ago (before the website rolled back) and from weeks / years ago etc.

Does this back up everything including products + prices etc?

 

How would I do this too.

Hello Simpson, in order to restore it back, you not only had to have your PrestaShop files backed up, but also your mySQL database.

I have the prestashop version I've downloaded from the back office and I also have the version I downloaded 9 days ago from my host (hostgator)

 

Would they be okay and how would I go about restoring it please?

You would need to have had done a backup of your files via FTP. Did you have a mySQL database?

Sorry I'm unsure what you mean and don't know about a MySQL Database.

 

All I can say and hope it's enough is that I've backed up my prestashop website via the back office as well as via my host who is hostgator.

 

Fingers crossed that's enough ?
