immaginativa
I just installed Prestashop from Cpanel which has a great simple automized installation which went like a dream. I asked it when given the option to install with https, as I know the host does have it. When my admin URL (mydomain.com/teststore/admin123) came up, I tried clicking on it and got Firefox's "can't find" page with the notice: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.mydomain.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long) The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site. Obviously, I couldn't log in, and since I'm the site owner, I couldn't do much with the options given; I WAS allowed to login via simply using http://www.my domain.com /teststore/admin123 and everything there seems functional, but I get a notice saying: You are currently connected with the following domain name: www.mydomain.com This is different from the main shop domain name set in "Multistore" page under the "Advanced Parameters" menu: mydomain.com/teststore Click here if you want to modify the main shop domain name Actually there is no "Mutistore" page that I can see - the link just takes me to the SEO and URL page under Advanced Parameters. This is what I get: shop domain: www.mydomain.com SSL domain: www.mydomain.com Base URL /teststore That seems fine to me. Any ideas here on what my next move is? Do I try installing again? Ask my IP what's wrong with SSL / https:or what?? I'm completely baffled. Any help will be appreciated.
immaginativa
My URL is not long at all, by the way. I don't know why there should be any such https: error
