customer image uploads not showing up in BO

Hi

I've noticed lately that customer image uploads aren't working. They have worked in the past but now when someone uploads a picture with their order I just get

image upload: 38_203_|||nameoffile.JPG

 

I've tested it from the customers point of view and it seems to work fine, no indication there is a problem, but I notice on the order details I just did it has the same 38_203_||| in front of the file name.

 

Before a thumbnail used to show up in the BO. The uploads folder is also empty apart from an index.html file

 

Any ideas?
