Error accessing to BackOfice

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've installed the PrestaShop locally and it's running correctly, however if I install in my hosting server, I can't go further than step 3 of installation, so I find a work-arround, I made all the installation locally and then upload the folder where I made the installation to my server and update mannually the MySQL DB.

However, everytime I try to access to BackOffice I get the error 1. "employee does not exist, or bad password"

I even try to reset my password, and still get the same error.

To you can see please visit http://www.andinospro.com/store/adminstore/ and use [email protected] as user and isJOvfR as password.

Can anyone tell me what's the problem?

Thank you in advance,

Eduardo Ribeiro

Hi guys,

Sorry you're having a hard time accessing your Back Offices.

What hosting services are you using?

It could be that PHP 5 needs to be activated manually on your hosting service.  Sometimes users think that PHP 5 is activated but they don't realize that their hosting service requires manual activation.

Have a look at a few solutions found here:

http://www.prestashop.com/forum/index.php/topic,714.0.html

Let us know if one of those solutions works for you, or not.

Thank you for reply, my server is win2003 IIS, i couldn't make an auto install thats why i put db and files manually. Installation stops at step3 could not pass it. I recreated the cookie_key, and regenarate the password but nothing happened looks like it will connect but just return the login page witout any error msg.

Well in fact I have activated before the PHP5 in my Control Panel.

I'm sure that my server has PHP5 running, by the way you can see the specs of the server at

http://andinospro.com/info.php

Notice that my server is Windows 2003, however, my localhost server is also Windows XP Pro and it works fine locally, so there's no reason to not work remotely.

If on localhost works fine and you have apache on localhost that's the problem. If you have IIS on localhost too than it's a setting or version problem.

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this will fix your problem, but I do know that a fix for a "cookie error during login" has been included in the next release, RC3, due out any day now.

Try using RC3 and let us know if the problem persists.

I will wait till release out i modify the rc2 for own needs, and use back office without password and cookies, prestashop have best background that i seen ever on opensource php shops.

Indeed PrestaShop has the best BackOffice ever seen in a PHP store. This is a small problem, for the biggest and best shop script I know, special if we attend it's OpenSource.

I still don't know how do I disable the cookies, sorry, I'm running like a mad, just trying to make the store availiable to the end of this week, and I'll have to confess I ddidn't dig, yet, the code properly.

Thanks in advance,

  • 8 months later...

this problem seem to exist in 1.1 final also, atleast when you run on localhost:8080
sometimes even on the frontpage it has a hard time creating a cookie. The error seems to be abit random :S I can reinstall the work shop three or four times and it will fail to create a cookie atleast one time.

I tried to experiment with the expire time, but no success so far in figuring out why the cookie is not created "sometimes".
