pneeds
Lowest Price First not working?Hi guys, I have searched but I can't find anything to help me..On my website I cannot get the products to be viewd in the correct price order. Example; I have to select 'Highest price first' to see the lowest price first and I have to select 'Lowest price first' to see the highest price first. (I hope you are still with me). See a page on my website: I have been to BACK OFFICE > PREFERENCES > PRODUCTS and then changed the :'Default order by: Product Price''Default order way: Decreasing, then Ascending' but nothing changes.Help Please!!!! pneeds
Oh Gosh, thanks but I only know how to do things from the 'Back Office'. All these CSS , html and codes thingys are just jibberish to me...:-?Is there no other way?Or is it something that I could try and sort myself even though I have VERY limited CSS (I don't even know if that's the correct term..lol) or html knowledge.. ? cerberus22
FIRST BACKUP YOUR OLD FILE IN FOLDER : classes/Search.phpThen upload and overwrite the old one with this Search.php.(This may work, if it does not you can replace the file with your backup)When you download the file change search.php to Search.php before uploading search.php
pneeds
Sorry, I know I must be a pain but I don't know how to 'Back up' or anything technical. I've been to BACK OFFICE > TOOLS > BACK UP > CREATE NEW BACKUP ... but then it asks me to open file..?????I'm just learning CSS and HTML on W3school to see if I can do these things myself. cerberus22
you have to use ftp (or go to your hosting admin panel) then look for the folder "classes" and inside that folder you will find a file called Search.php, you need to save (backup) this file (Search.php) to your computer the upload and overwrite the old file with the one I gave you. pneeds
Hiya, I referred to the 'Bugs' tab and found the solution (which worked) but now when I search for an item; I find it but it says 'value' £0 and when I click on it, it directs me back to my homepage.I went in my Backup and replaced the the old non working list...Is there something else I can do? pneeds
I figured it out myself!!!!!!I'm so excited as I;m a complete novice but learning quite quickly Okay, so this is what I did. I figured if I can change 'Manufacturer' (and other words by using 'Translations') All I have to do is go to:BACK OFFICE > TOOLS > TRANSLATIONS > FRONT OFFICE TRANSLATIONS > scroll down till I found 'lowest price' and changed them round basically. So 'lowest price' was changed to 'highest price' and 'highest price' changed to 'lowest price'!SOLVED!!
