What is the code of VAT NUMBER for display in .tpl file?

I need know the code for that the customer see his vat number. I need attach in .tpl file this code and I tried with the next codes but anything works:

{$address->vat_number}

{$invoice_address->vat_number}

{$vat_number.invoice_address}

{$vat_number_invoice_address}

{$vat_number.invoice}

{$vat_number_invoice}
