mowax
Hi friends,Does anyone know if its possible to delete the "buy_block" for certain products? Most products on my site will be purchasable online, though some are too complicated to be able to purchase without contacting me first for a quote. I would like to display these products, but not make it possible to buy them. Can I apply this rule to a few products without the change occuring to all products? Thanks for any replies
Patric
You could put their stock quantity to 0 and write in the description "Contact us for this product".
mowax
Hi Zendik,Thanks for the suggestion, I had already done that though. Was just wondering if there was a way of getting rid of the 'Add to cart' button for this particular product? Probably not possible right?
Floobynooby
1. Set the quantity to 02. select the field When out of stock: Deny orders It will then show up as out of stock.
plouise
Somebody suggest on another topic a solution based on price.if price = 0 then replace price by text Contact USin order to keep free product, maybe use negativ price instead of 0.In the template folder, in the product.tpl look for tag <!-- prices -->You can add the test to show contact us instead of price. The question is how your prospect have to contact us for a quote?Specifics mail vs a order with free item. And after that, how you process the request? At the end the customer is supposed the order with a price in or outside the system. mowax
Thanks for your suggestion, plouise. That looks like the right ticket. When the customer contacts me for a quote, I will either send him a paypal invoice so he can pay online, or he can call and do it over the phone, so it will take place outside of the system.I will see how I get on with your first suggestion, and if that doesn't work I will have to translate that enormous french thread! Thanks again
