snags
Hello,I have been uploading my inventory manually which has taken me a long time so now I am trying to find ways to speed up the process. I was hoping to use CSV file to do this. As a first step I downloaded a csv file from the forum and tried to upload it but when I clicked the next button I was asked if I wanted to delete my categories, this stopped me in my tracks. So what I want to know is if I can upload a csv file to prestashop can I first export my existing inventory as a csv file, in opther words to be clear can prestashop export my shop as a csv file. If so I could use that as a template to update and speed up the process. If anyone has the answer to this I would be very greatfull. Many thanks. Scott Meyers
Use PhpMyAdmin to export tables or the entire databse in CSV format. Prestashop create a backup of your databse in *.sql format only. Login to the Admin area (what's called Back Office) >> Tools >> Database backup
