How to optimize for 60,000 products?

I am planning a store with an estimated 60,000 products and possibly 100,000 products. On a test I found that so many products significantly slowed down Prestashop, even when I did not use categories. Is there any to optimize and speed up Prestashop for this amount of products?

Hello computer guy not sure if you loaded images if so I would recommend using the added folder and move the images to a seperate location. It depends also under performance page in back office

I have a lot of products on my site. I have put tons of man hrs into optimizing my server for the load so I am not sure what type of server you're on.

 

I would also suggest maybe using a cache system to help optimize some of the data also. I use personally cloudflare and it works great so far but does take some setting up.

 

I did try to use memcache which I thought is a horrible cache system which slowed my site down to 6 - 8 seconds just to open up. to give you a better idea my site is loading in .04 to 1 sec on all pages

 

With this many products i would suggest start off checking the settings in performance tab and if you already have a cache then it may take something else or at least look into.

 

I only giving my personal opinion is all I only have roughly 10k in my site but i have seen some alot bigger using this software.

I will add not to try it on shared hosting. And if you are semi decent with coding, use google page speed and hand combine all of your css, js and minify them yourself.
