meccabooks
I am trying to install couldflare for my website however I am having lot of issues, and cloudflare is not very helpful with any of the issues. If someone can help me provide detailed step by step process to configure Cloud Flare for my website. Below are the details: My website is hosted on a VPS I have a EV SSL certificate installed on my website I am currently using 1.4.7V of PS however will be switching over to latest stable in a month or so. Not using media server however interested in doing it. I heard if a different domain / sub domain is used to host images and just use CDN on that domain. Details on how to setup this will be beneficial. if I use a second domain for images can I get away with using the free service without SSL for Cloudflare Problems that I face while using Cloudflare are .. in BO i can't change to other page (shipping , orders, customer, etc. ) it is most critical - after check out thru paypal customer see site offline message Also randomly at some part of the website they see the site offline message. clayton29657
Hello meccabooks what type of account are you trying to set-up? I just finished the pro set-up on my site with little issues. Did you change name servers or how far are you into it?
meccabooks
I am trying to setup pro account. It has been fully configured, however I am having few issues mentioned above, that's why I disabled it for now.

clayton29657
Hello meccabooks Sorry I have not replied as I am working on the same issues with my host to get SSL to work properly. I will update when i know more as I use the pro account myself. You need to setup a page rule so it's not caching your admin ( back office ) hence that is why you're having issues there. Please note that you only want to cache static files and not the site files or your back office. The other offline messages I am not sure of. I will follow up with this topic when I know more. Iilegear This is not the appropriate topic to be asking about Paypal. This is for a cache system that we are setting up. If you're experiencing issues with paypal please post a topic in paypal section of the forums. Thank you Clayton

I have about 1 gb worth of Images and I believe that will improve me website speed a lot, plus I dont have to worry about caching or even SSL maybe? clayton29657
Hello meccabooks of course you can do that and then add it to your dns page. I do not know how to do this as I have my tech doing all my work on my site. Yes by having a sub-domain for images will always help. About not using cache and depending on what your visitors volume is or will be will determine if you need a cache in place. I expect with my store and by research my visitors volume will be 300-500 a day so I am having to use cache. I also am using the flex ssl they offer only for customers log in pages well thats what i am trying to get done lol. My tech is making all the rewrite rules on my server. It really depends on if your happy with page speed after moving images to another sub folder. I would 1st try that then test the site with visitors going to it. Thank you Clayton I installed Cloudflare then the Paypal is not working properly. However, Paypal is working like a charm after I transferred my nameservers back. Edit: I have experienced the same Paypal problem as meccabooks, hence I posted here. Can you advise which is the correct section? clayton29657
All you mentioned was a paypal issue and nothing to do with cloudflare so it sounded like you needed a different type of help

clayton29657
may I ask did you create page rules to bypass your back office and the other pages as well? I ask because I am not having no issues like these at all. Edited November 19, 2012 by clayton29657 (see edit history)
illegear
I had wasted 2 days to ask around my host server provider and Cloudflare support in order to sort out the Paypal problem. I have tried anything even the page rule. So at the end I get frustrated and transfer my nameservers back to original. I am looking forward to Cloudcache to setup their Singapore CDN, since they are premium partner of Prestashop, I believe the compatibility is better.
