window-tint
Hi I am trying to upgrade from 1.3.2 to 1.4.8. I am using the default PayPal module (integral payment) and have also tried downloading the latest PayPal module from the addon store - both are giving the same issue. The problem I am getting is that the checkout process all goes fine and payment is taken, however no order is created in Prestashop. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Tom
window-tint
Anyone? It's really frustrating the lack of support from prestashop on these forums I don't think I've ever had an issue solved on here. I've emailed them but no response. Come on. Surely someone has had this issue before?
window-tint
I've tried searching the forums but the search function is so poor.
Upswings
Currently having the exact same issue. Presta front office goes through with the order, payment is made via PayPal with confirmation email received from PayPal to customer of successful payment, but no order is created in the back office. Very very frustrated! Help please!
the hat lady
Sorry I am no expert but what information is showing I.e is the customer in back office. Does stock movement show in back office. Can you see the shopping cart? Could the order be showing up on your old back office. Obviously the notification from paypal verifies these processes have happened. You may need to FTP upload some modules again but I am not experienced enough to say which ones..
El Patron
you need to make sure that your order states are correct for your 1.4. 1.3 did it a little differently...if you are not familiar with it find nemo1 he fixes this stuff fast and cheap... for example a 1.4.6.2 shop should look like this: back office-->orders-->statuses http://screencast.com/t/hwPWrMc050n as for whining that nobody helps ...this is due to a lack of description....make sure to throughly document with screen shots your problem...we are not mind readers...and hit the bloody like button...that's all the pay there is around here.

Thank you for your reply I have the stock management system disabled as the shop sells "made to order" product so can't look into this one further as no stock is moving around. As for the cart, I can see the customer and see their cart, but the orders do not appear in the back office when paid for. When using a test account purchasing a product using PayPal, the order does not show in the customer's order history in the front end. What do you mean by showing up in my old back office? you need to make sure that your order states are correct for your 1.4. 1.3 did it a little differently...if you are not familiar with it find nemo1 he fixes this stuff fast and cheap... for example a 1.4.6.2 shop should look like this: back office-->orders-->statuses http://screencast.com/t/hwPWrMc050n as for whining that nobody helps ...this is due to a lack of description....make sure to throughly document with screen shots your problem...we are not mind readers...and hit the bloody like button...that's all the pay there is around here. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. My problem is a little different to that of the original poster's in that I am using PrestaShop 1.5.1.0. My order status screen looks like this --> Thanks again for trying to help
El Patron
@upswings As you can appreciate, debugging via a forum certain problems can be nearly impossible. Sometimes we must find someone that is willing to get into the guts of things to fix these sort of issues. Your particular statues match the 1.4.6.2 setup so that does not appear to be the issue.. If it was me an my shop, I'd turn on errors and go through testing with paypal sandbox, for the order to not show up anywhere would make me think there is an error being throw that you are not seeing. try this: (turn on errors) config/config.inc.php set errors on...you can also set sql debug to true, make sure to turn both off after testing.
Upswings
Would it be possible that it's a htaccess problem? Looking at my server error logs, there are quite a lot of 401 errors coming from PayPal IP addresses, so I think PayPal is at least trying to contact my site but something is breaking down somewhere. 2012-11-11 16:14:04.264 [iNFO] [66.211.170.66:10102-0#APVH_partyboxpixies.co.uk] File not found [/home2/partybox/public_html/401.shtml] 2012-11-11 16:12:40.799 [iNFO] [173.0.82.126:16283-0#APVH_partyboxpixies.co.uk] File not found [/home2/partybox/public_html/401.shtml] 2012-11-11 16:11:23.944 [iNFO] [66.211.170.66:56788-0#APVH_partyboxpixies.co.uk] File not found [/home2/partybox/public_html/401.shtml] 2012-11-11 16:10:03.668 [iNFO] [66.211.170.66:54972-0#APVH_partyboxpixies.co.uk] File not found [/home2/partybox/public_html/401.shtml] I did try turning errors on, but none were thrown at me sadly. That said, when payment is made using Paypal I am taken back to the order confirmation page but its just shown to be blank. Thank you again for trying to help, really do appreciate it
Upswings
I've fixed my issue, I've set PayPal as "website payments standard" rather than the hosted solution (which my client is actually approved for) and provided my API details, and its working fine. Very strange. In any case, its all working as it should which is lovely! Thank you again for all your help elpatron
