Shipping fee setting

Recommended Posts

I wonder if I can use both price range and weight range to calculate shipping fee? I sell Toys, so the weight is varies. For delivery within the country, I contracted in the local courier which will give me flat rate € 8.00 nationwide. And I offer free delivery for purchase over €65. But for the international delivery I have to use UPS which will charge me different rates depend on the weight and zone.

So I create, say carrier as UPS1 for UK zone, weight 0-1 kg. The charge is €20.00. When I tried it on the check out, It doesn't turn out right.Tried different options, still no joy. If I select UK, it will display the shipping choice as UPS1, that's correct, but the rate is either free or €8 ... Went back and check on the fee section, setting is right.

Any suggestion? Confuse & tried now.

Thanks

Not for the same carrier. Must be one or the other. You can setup different carriers though, some using weight others price ranges. Further limit carriers to be available for the zones as required.

Carrier A, zone local, weight or price range does not matter.

Carrier B, international, zone A, weight ranges

Carrier C, international, zone A, weight ranges

...

Free over 65 will apply to all carriers, cannot be limited by carrier without further customization.

When testing make sure test accounts have addresses from the carrier zone

Hey Phrasespot,

Thanks for the comment.I did set up say UPS1 carrier for UK zone weight under 1 kg. UPS2 for UK zone weight 1-2 kg, but at the checkout instead of the relevant option come up according to the weight, all of them come up and appear as free shipping even I the right fee is config on shipping page.I double check and re check that everything is set right, but still doesn't work out. Anyway, with the free shipping for Ireland only. There is too much confusion. So I sadly have to drop out the international shipping and add in message with the products that international delivery is available, contact for more detail and I will send them invoice separate with PayPal.

Thanks again
