How to mark items to appear in Specials / Top Sellers block

Hi folks,

 

I'm plainly missing something. How do I mark a product to appear in the Specials or Top Sellers block(s).

 

The blocks are set to appear on the main page and show up in the Live Editor but do not appear in "real life" because I don't think that anything has been flagged to show in either spot. Having trouble figuring out where to do this.

For the specials block you need to create a special price under prices tab in the catalog product entry area.

As for the top sellers this is handled by prestashop code and is applied to the items that sell the most, not a markable item.
