Mail Alerts module sending garbage

I have the MailAlerts v2.2 module installed, it functions in so much as it sends the email but the text shown in the To field its just a string of what seems like random characters and numbers, for example:

 

=?UTF-8?B?c2FsZXNAbm9ydGhnYXRldHJhaW5pbmcuY28udWs=?

 

This is what appears in the To field when I view an email. Is there some UTF-8 issue translating something?

 

If so does anyone know how to fix this issue?

There is nothing wrong. You must have tried sending to Gmail which is one of the Send of Behalf of address in your Gmail. Try sending to a brand new hotmail just like you would to a customer, the garbage text will not appear.

I am also facing same issue...email To address is having encoded characters..not sure from where it is coming and how to turn it off.
