jefgees Posted November 4, 2012 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Dear prestashoppers, Since a while I am trying to find my way through version 1.5.2. Locally (XAMPP) I have got the same version (prestashop 1.5.2) with the same database name running. So far so good. Every time I try something out locally and then do the same actions on the host platform. Got the feeling that I am doing everything twice. Guess that there must be another and simple way. Unluckely for me, I can not find this way (that works with version 1.5.2.). Is there somebody among you all who can give me a link to a manual or can explain how I can dot this (loading up a local file(s) to the host)? Can not imagine that by changing the links under “preferences” “SEO & URL” “shop URL” , it should be OK. Or is it really that simple?? mux Posted November 5, 2012 Share Posted November 5, 2012 Hi Jefgees.... When you need to move your Prestashop 1.5 shop from local to host, what actually you need to change, is your Database. Export database from your local site. Find localhost and replace is with your live server domain name. And everything will just went fine. I hope this may help you if i could understand you well...
