Unable to log in to Admin area

I have recently installed Prestashop, and at first everything was fine. However, I am now unable to log in to the admin area - it doesn't give me an error message, it just redirects me back to the login page.

I have deleted cookies, and it makes no difference. The email address and password are fine (and anyway, there is an error message if I enter them wrongly).

The one thing I did which might have caused this is that I installed Prestashop in one place, and then moved it. I did change the root directory in the settings/config file(s), but maybe there's something else I need to change?

I guess I could download again and install the new one in place of this one, but I have made some changes, so I'm trying to avoid doing that, if possible.

I am hosting the site locally at the moment, while I develop it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Prestashop (PS) v 1.2 is still in beta. That said, moving PS directory to a different place won't work.

I guess I could download again and install the new one in place of this one, but I have made some changes, so I'm trying to avoid doing that, if possible.

That's probably the only option you have now. Good luck
