Yngvi
Please, please, please can somone help me with this I have a store where I am using multiple languages and the French product names have accents in them eg. fishing line is "ligne de pêche" in French When I create a product, it generates an automatic product url "lign-de-pêche". When I try to save the product, I get the following error: The field friendly URL (Français (French)) is invalid. If I change the French URL to exclude the French characters, I can save the product, but when I reopen the product in admin, the automatic URL is regenerated again using the accents and I get the error again. Because of this, I am unable to save any of my products and cannot use the store. Please, does someone have an answer for this.
Carolina Custom Designs
Quote When I create a product, it generates an automatic product url "lign-de-pêche". When I try to save the product, I get the following error I cannot reproduce this problem with 1.5.2.0. Accented characters are fine in friendly URL on save. Make sure you are using the latest version (I am guessing you are using 1.5 since you posted in this forum). Marty Shue
Yngvi
Hi. I have recreated the problem. The problem is not actually the accents. It is the apostrophe. If there is an apostrophe in the name e.g. Navette à la Fleur d’Oranger Then when I save the product, I get this error Ce champ URL simplifiée (Français (French)) est invalide. and all the changes that I make to the product are lost. This is using version 1.5.2 Edited October 29, 2012 by Yngvi (see edit history)
