Paypal sand box

Recommended Posts

Can someone please point me to the right direction?

I set up a paypal sand box account. And I used a real email address to set up a business account and a personal account. Then I created an invoice and request a payment and sent to a real personal email address and the sand box system indicated "the invoice has been sent". Should the personal email address (the buyer) receive an invoice? Or because it is a sand box, the buyer will not receive anything? If so, how can I tell if my account is working?

And when I use a buyer account and process an invoice, the buyer sent the payment, but my site sent out an email indicated that please contact the system admin as the transaction has error. Because it is a sand box and is this how it should be? How can I tell if my paypal account is working?

Another question is after I finish testing the paypal sand box account, do I need to set up a REAL paypal account? Or the sand box account can be use for real?

I am confuses. Please help.

Thank you very much.

Jack

no emails are dispatched from the paypal sandbox,

but if you login into your sandbox account with your main address not any of the others created in the sandbox, their should be a menu item on the right hand side of the browser screen labeled emails, you can view all emails their the system would have sent if you were not in the sanbox enviroment

and yes you will have to create a proper paypal account after you have finished testing
