[solved]Unable to find the wrapper "https

Recommended Posts

I downloaded the newest auto-upgrade (0.9.1 according to addons; 0.9.3 according to itself) and installed it on my test computer with XAMPP.

When I click "configure" in the modules section I get the following errors:

Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: Unable to find the wrapper "https" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP? inC:\xampp\htdocs\_bama\modules\autoupgrade\Upgrader.php on line 258

Warning: file_get_contents(https://api.addons.prestashop.com) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Invalid argument inC:\xampp\htdocs\_bama\modules\autoupgrade\Upgrader.php on line 258

I got this too with local WAMP upgrade from 1.5.2 to 1.5.3. As a new PS user I realised I had ignored a message on the main Admi panel that said I needed to have php_openssl extension installed. Installing that extension for PHP removed those warnings when autoupgrading.
