marronne
Hi. I had this when trying to install the Mobile Theme. It transpired that it wasn't a theme but a module. However the config.inc.php file in my config folder wasn't writable so the permissions were changed and it solved the problem. May be it's the same for you? Nimitz1061
The problem I found was a config.xml file sitting in the /modules/ folder. I deleted this and the problem went away.Based on some of the previously described solutions, I suspect there is an opportunity to improve application error reporting to be more specific. Hope this helps someone.

valentin.g
theme archive must contains root folders: -themes -modules config.xml so you need to unzip and zip just these folders back.
