Product pictures no longer display?!

Recommended Posts

I'm working on setting up my PS site and so far the system is great! That being said, the pictures for my products don't seem to be showing up anymore...at least not in Chrome or IE. I can see the pictures in my admin panel, but not on the site. My company logo displays just fine, but not the product pictures. Anyone have any thoughts? The website is www.primordialcycles.com

Thanks,

Nick

Well, I called Bluehost tech support and it appears that either the case (upper/lower) of the picture name that PS is looking for doesn't match that of the actual photo and/or the path is invalid. Is there a way I can go in and reset this?

This was an issue with 1.5.1 I had. In the Back Office go to Preferences/Images and duplicate all of the image files without the _default suffix.

For example:

You have -

small_default

Make one that is -

small

so now you have both.

Make sure to check the same parameters as the _defaults one on your new ones.

This was somewhat fixed in 1.5.2. All images worked for me without creating duplicates except medium_default didn't work in IE. I created just the medium image file and all is well.

That worked a little bit. I've had to create folders for under the main page for each size of every picture which is a royal pain...that, and it worked for the first three products but isn't working anymore. What's the easiest way to upgrade to 1.5.2 (it doesn't list the upgrade as an option on Bluehost's simple scripts page)?

Bluehost is of the problems with the PrestaShop, because they do not offer it at the moment at all, I do not know what the problem but tell yourself to install prestashop if you want the this sofware you can install yourself.

Only Bluehost`s problem?

Well, I got the problem fixed! I wiped the server of everything in the domain file and ran a clean install. I'm thinking there might have been a problem with something left over from a previous CMS I was using before PS? Anyway, it's fixed!
