florent33
Hi all, I just realize a problem in my shop. Indeed, when a customer adds a free product to cart (eg a quotation), all shipping costs (example: colissimo, or max letter, ...) become free too. Thank you in advance. Carolina Custom Designs
How are you calculating shipping? This is probably your problem. Marty Shue

SuperCharlie
It is a deep and convoluted thing when you start playing with free products and free shipping in 1.4.x I have been trying to include/exclude things from free shipping and it has kicked my rear. It does not surprise me in the least that a free product would kick off free shipping the way that is coded. A workaround for you might be to charge something nominal for the free product but display a voucher for that amount, for that category, on checkout.. just a suggestion to try... Good Luck.. Dh42
If you are not going to have any downloadable products in your shop, edit that area of the shop and set the product as downloadable.
florent33
if we set the product as downloadable, there is more possibility to choose carrier.

florent33
What do you mean? Sorry, I wanted to say that when we define a product as downloadable it is no longer possible to select a carrier. Dh42
Oh, yeah I know, I figured with giving quotes and estimates you wouldn't need a carrier. But it would allow for the shippable goods to use a carrier too.
florent33
Postal charges for estimate correspond at cost of returning the item. The buyer sends me his object, I make an estimate and I forward the object.
