bullywug Posted October 20, 2012 Share Posted October 20, 2012 When a customer attempts to check out using the instant checkout option (not create user account) they get an error message which reads: "There is 1 error Please agree with the customer data privacy by ticking the checkbox below." The problem is that there is no checkbox below for privacy. There are only two check boxes on the entire page. They are "Sign up for our newsletter" and "Receive special offers from our partners". Specifically, I don't know what module this would be. I've checked for anything with the word guest in it but I don't know where to look to uninstall the module. That also brings up the next point, once uninstalled, where will I download it again? Do I just need to go through the original download and see if I can find the module that way? benjamin utterback Posted October 31, 2012 Share Posted October 31, 2012 Hello bullywug, Yes, the module is called Block Customer Data Privacy 1) Click on Configure 2) Click on Manage Hooks 3) Delete the module Block Customer Data Privacy in the hook "Customer account creation form" (click the trash can) 4) Click the green button "Transplant a module 5) Find the Module Block Customer Data Privacy 6) Hook it into "Customer Account Creation Form" and save Now make sure it is installed and let me know if that works. Upswings Posted November 6, 2012 Share Posted November 6, 2012 (edited) I'm having the exact same problem, and the above fix provided by Benjamin isn't working for me. Any idea what else it could be? EDIT Not actually having the same problem, my problem exists both with guest checkout and account registration. It also occurs whether I'm using 1 page checkout, or 5 step.
