Freekers Posted October 18, 2012 Share Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Hello, After installing a SSL certificate in my shop, I can no longer access the front office while in maintenance mode. I keep getting the message that the shop is down for maintenance, although I added my IP to the 'Maintenance IP' aka Whitelist. It worked correctly before I installed the SSL certificate, so I uninstalled the SSL certificate, but it is still broken... If I add the server IP to the whitelist, I can visit the shop in maintenance mode, but so can everyone else from the outside, which is ofcourse not what I want. Has anyone experienced this before? Freekers Posted October 20, 2012 Author Share Posted October 20, 2012 Problem solved, it was an error on my webhosters end. If you encouter the same problem, contact your webhoster and tell them to configure PHP such that it uses $_SERVER['REMOTE_HOST'] as the IP address instead of the server IP address. This is because the server IP is different from the site/certificate IP because a SSl certificate needs a dedicated IP. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
