not been unzipped If I ignore the errors and just try and use the shop I have several issues: mod_rewrite fails to work (but works on the old shop) people using the firefox browser are unable to complete a purchase various strange display issues appear on both the FO and BO. threepe Posted October 15, 2012 Author Share Posted October 15, 2012 Thanks for the suggestion. The shop is a "live shop", but has been copied to a test environment. This allows me to play with a copy of the live shop just for test purposes. I am also having display issues with the default 1.5 theme. The images in the shop are too large and go over the top of the product text. Its a real shame prestashop is having these issues as its a great environment, would be lovely to see this issues ironed out in the near future. Fundamentally, the images seem to large for the theme. I think maybe its a case of waiting to let 1.5 settle and see if these things sort themselves out. Like someone else told me if you're not having problems then why upgrade unless there is an option that you must have. If it's not broke don't fix it they told me. Sometimes the new shop has better security etc etc, so you are forced to upgrade, which then sometimes breaks things. Additionally, if you leave it too long your old shop is so old it becomes really hard to do the upgrade. I am staying at 1.4.9 for at least another 4-6 months before even thinking about upgrading to 1.5 because there's way to many issues with it still that I can not afford to waist my time with until it's stable. I have test servers that i will try it own but a live store no way lol.. Just imagine if you are a new Prestashop user and all you get to experience is 1.5x Looks great, but breaks a lot...not good for shopping sites. Its a bit of a bugger for me as I have a lovely theme for 1.5 that I bought, but cannot use as the shop is going to stay 1.49. Ah well, its only money!! Anyone have and ideas why I am getting these errors during the update process, and how I can get around them? got the same error but no one suggested a solution yet.
