cogeanumarius
Hello to all, I have just installed this on my dedicated server: http://www.php.net/manual/en/memcache.installation.php and I have activated as caching system: Memcached istead of file system. I see now an option of adding a new server where I shoupd give the IP address, the pre-defined port: 11211. My question is if you have any link where this is explained, how to be configured. Huge thanks in advance
bellini13
this page has some real basic information about it. http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Understanding+The+Advanced+Parameters If you have installed both the OS memcache component, and also the php extension, then in prestashop you simply need to choose memcache, enable it, and provide the ipaddress and port that it listens on. I have not had much success with memcache or filesystem cache and have avoid it like the plague. Perhaps you will have better luck.
J.Sahu
I'm little confused about the ip address. Can you specify which IP we have to put there ?
bellini13
memcache is a service that runs and binds to an IP address and port. you need to locate which IP Address and Port your memcache service is running on.

bellini13
you should work with your hosting provider, this is not something I can provide support for
