yu7
My site hosted at http://3ix.com Yes, i've just download it. PrestaShop 1.5.1.0 Server's info: Apache version : 2.2.23 Php version : 5.2.17 MySQL version : 5.0.95-community architecture : i686 OS : linux kernel version : 2.6.18-308.13.1.el5P Edited October 12, 2012 by yu7 (see edit history)
yu7
The previous step, i got the warning on folder and file permissions. These permission settings solved: ~/config/ = 0777 ~/download/ = 0777 ~/img/ = 0776 ~/log/ = 0776 ~/mails/ = 0776 ~/modules/ = 0776 ~/upload/ = 0777 ~/translations/ = 0776 but "cache" folder, i'm stuck. while i set it at 0777 (and subfolders too), the red X still appear. So, when i delete all cache folders content, the red X canged to green, so i can contunue the installation process... Without deleting cache sub-folders, i still got the "populate database Error" ... Help please Edited October 12, 2012 by yu7 (see edit history)
vynx
is the permission recursive or not? if not then better change folder permission with recursive ( in my hosting have option for change folder with recursive )
yu7
vynx, i guess, the error is not related to file permissions. everything related to file permission are fixed. I guess, there "something" on MySQL server settings are not match with prestashop, or something related to php parameter. I'm still stuck on it... CE1
You might want to check your database users privileges. First go into php admin and see that all tables are empty. if yes then try to manually insert an entry into some table. Then see if the entry is really inserted into the table. If not, then your database user are missing some privileges.
