Mike Slot
Hello everyone, I just started to set up my new webshop Prestashop 1.5. It works fine, making categories and products. Even modules and positioning. Unfortunatly i discoverd that in my shoppingchart each item comes with free shipping. I read the user guide and filled in all the information that was recommanded. I made a carrierer, difined the price and weight. I even selected the carrierer (there's only one) for each product. Still after all these setting i get the free shipping. After trying differend setups i'm lost and don't have any clue what i'm doing wrong. Even the additional shipping cost or handling charges don't work. Is there anyone who can help me? dahermit
I have exactly the same issue. Did a clean install of Prestashop version 1.5.3.1. I removed all the carriers, added my own, set it based on weight. When I add an item in on the shop, it shows Free Delivery in the cart even before login of the customer. Also, on the shipping part, it wont show any of the carriers, so can't get past this point. I'm pulling my hair out, Im sure the carrier settings are fine, and its a problem with the software. Some details: Server information Server information: Linux #1 SMP Wed Jan 16 18:54:05 MSK 2013 i686 Server software version: Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) PHP version: 5.3.22 Memory limit: 128M Max execution time: 30 Database information MySQL version: 5.5.30-cll MySQL engine: InnoDB Tables prefix: ps_ Store information Prestashop version: 1.5.3.1 Grateful for any help . tannerS
Prestashop defaults to free shipping till a customer signs in, so keep that in mind. You can change the default to 0 or what ever you like. You can also get a module like Presto-Changeo has that places shipping rate buttons on the cart and product pages. There are a few threads in the 1.5 forum on the subject. I would suggest loosing the "carrier distribution module" if you still have it. Most of my carrier issues where caused from the included shipping modules, I deleted mine and the issue stopped. I recommend you choose one method of shipping per carrier as in price or weight, not both. Place your home country in it's own custom made zone if you ship international. Otherwise, just disable all other zones and countries except your own. Read this thread for more: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/187951-free-shipping-showing-when-shouldnt-be-15017/page__st__40 Notice post 48 if you want to get rid of the "free shipping" default text.
