Stuck/repeat on installation step 2...fresh install of 1.5.1.0

step 1, select language, then choose accept terms, click on green next,

step 2, check marks next to every config file, click on green next

goes back to step 1 and asks me to select language, then choose accpet terms, click on green next,

repeat...

 

Just cannot get past step 2...please help!!!!

 

Server information: Linux #1 SMP Fri Jul 15 08:15:44 EDT 2011 i686

Server software version: Apache

PHP version: 5.2.17

MySQL version: 5.0.92

Did you get any further with this - as my new install is doing the exact same thing - have installed many times - but this is the first time it won't work! - first page, agree and click - second page everything is green - click next and it goes back to the first page again...

Hi guys,

 

I fixed my problem. It was probably specific to my host provider iPage, but you can first start debbugging by setting the first constant in config/defines.inc.php to "true" (instead of "false").

In my case, it has shown error during the installation process on the session which couldn't start.

After reading the iPage documentation, I found that :

http://www.ipage.com...le.bml?kbid=600

I followed the process and it has fixed my problem: the installation has been done succesfully.
